Privacy Policy

What data Pencil Camp collects, why, and how to ask us to remove it.

Pencil Camp has no accounts, no newsletter and no shop. You can browse every page and download every worksheet without telling us who you are. This page lists what is processed when you visit, and why.

Downloading worksheets

Every PDF is a plain file link. Downloading one asks for nothing and stores nothing about you in our database. The request shows up in the server log like any other page view.

The contact form

A message sent through the contact form stores the name you type, your email address if you choose to give one, your message, the language of the page you wrote from, your IP address and the time it arrived. We use it to reply and to spot spam. Before the form is accepted, a Cloudflare Turnstile check confirms that a person is sending it; that check sees your IP address and some details of your browser. Messages are never used for marketing, sold or passed on.

Server logs and Cloudflare

Our server keeps a log of each request: IP address, time, the address requested, the response, the referring page, the browser and the country. We use it to fix errors and block abuse. Logs are rotated daily and deleted after 14 days. The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver pages quickly and stop attacks.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see, in total, which pages are read, from which countries and on which kinds of device. We do not use it to identify anyone, and we do not combine it with contact form messages.

Cookies

The site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits, and Google's advertising cookies are described below. The Pinterest, Facebook and WhatsApp share buttons are plain links, so those services see nothing until you click one.

Advertising

Pencil Camp is meant to be paid for by ads served by Google AdSense. On pages where ads appear:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Where the law requires it (for example in the EU, the UK and parts of Latin America), a consent banner asks you first, and you can refuse personalised ads. Refusing does not limit anything on this site.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, refuse third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info, or read how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Children

Children use the worksheets, but the site is written for the adult who prints them. Nothing on the site asks a child for personal details, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has sent us a message with personal details, write to us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it, and you can withdraw ad consent at any time from the consent banner. Write to us through the contact page and we will act on it.
