How does the generator pick?
It crosses 111 subjects with twenty twists, so there are 2,220 combinations. A twist is what stops the same subject being the same drawing twice: a dog in cartoon style and a dog drawn without lifting your pencil are two different exercises.

Each press joins one of 111 subjects to one of 20 twists. The subjects are every idea from things to draw, the easy list and the bored list put together, from a sitting dog to a sock monster. The twists change how you draw it: in cartoon style, using only straight lines, with your other hand, in under two minutes, underwater, made of sweets or looking grumpy.
Some results are easy and some are hard. "A cloud made of five bumps, in kawaii style" takes a minute. "A bicycle leaning on a wall, as realistically as you can" could take an afternoon. If a combination feels wrong for the moment, press again. The button never shows the same result twice in a row.
In a classroom, put the generator on the projector, press once and give everyone the same five minutes. Thirty drawings of the same prompt show how many ways there are to solve one problem. At home, it works as a game between two people: each presses once and draws the other one's prompt.
The list is built into the page, so once it has loaded it keeps working without a connection. For a paper version, print the drawing prompt cards, which use the same subjects and twists.
